I hope so, especially since Apple is planning to put a 36 hour battery on the 5th Gen iPod.

I think it's a no-brainer. After the next line upgrade there will not be any such thing as an iPod photo at all but rather it will simply be one of the extras that is an option on the standard iPods. Then they sell the AV cable as an extra (like they already are for the current photos since they dropped it from the box) for those who really want to play with the feature and the rest of the world just gets a color iPod.

I thnik Apple will either:
* Discontinue the iPod Photo and make the 5G iPod colour screen or *Make a 2G iPod Photo, along with a mono-5G iPod

I think it's pretty much a given but I'd perfer extra battery life. A color screen isn't really enough to get me to upgrade from my 3g.

I like the classic style, but if it was in color, the price would rise, meaning less revenue.

With the recent price drop on the iPod photo, it would surprise me if Apple doesn't discontinue the mono iPod altogether.
