Old iPods - Recharge Frequency

How long on average before you recharge your iPod?

I recharge mine every second day. I use 2 bars everyday, however I doubt that I played it for more than 4 hours on any particular day.

When I'm home I always have my iPod plugged in and hooked to my stereo, so I'm constantly recharging it.

It depends totally on how long I am at the gym for the day. I usually recharge when it gets down to 2 or 1 bars.

I only use it on the bus and walking home, and sometimes whilst im in the computer labs at uni. But I didn't think I was using it for more than 4 hours a day. I thought my battery was only giving me maybe 8 hours of life.

Finally I got around to testing it today, and it actually did about 10 hours straight. This surprised me a bit. Maybe some of my battery life is used up in the idle time when im sleeping and not using it.

Hey peeps, dun forget to update ur iPod's firmware... I read somewhere that theres a firmware update that fixes your battery life in the long term...

(This goes out to those who still have the old iPods - 1st and 2nd Gen).

My iPod is in use about 8 hours each day and I keep it plugged up to the charger every evening. It has no trouble achieving the 10 hour playtime on a charge. I'm using the latest 1.3 firmware update. iTrip usage will likely reduce that somewhat.

i use leave mine on random all through school, playing all the time, i just take the earphones out if i have to hear something. i just leave mine in the cradle overnight, becuase i hate it when the batterey goes halfway through the day, the ipod starts to feel annoyingly heavy and bulky when you cant use it.
