Cool drag and drop tip

With all its cut-and-paste stuff, Windows XP makes it easy for you to
grab information from one program and slap it into another. With its
drag-and-drop stuff,
The hard part of Windows XP is lining up two windows on the screen,
side by side. That???s where you need to call in the taskbar. First, open the
two windows and place them anywhere on the screen. Then turn all the
other windows into icons (minimize them) by clicking the button with
the little line that lives in the top-right corners of those windows.
Now, click a blank area of the taskbar with your right mouse button and
then click one of the two Tile commands listed on the menu. The two
windows line up on the screen perfectly.

Now that is an awesome tip. Now for another. To drag and drop more than one selection at once hold down control and single click everything you want in the other window. once everything you want is highlighted click and drag one of the items into the other items into the other window. Everything you highlighted should appear there.

Yup. I've known that one. Thanks though. And you know shift will select all of them from the original click place, to where to click last.

Ctrl + A highlights everything in a folder.

In regards to biggsy's latest q. use the Ctrl A to select all, then Ctrl + Click each of the files you don't want, and they will become unselected
