• With the number of recent threads from brand new users that we have observed in our Classifieds forum selling goods under questionable circumstances, we have instituted a new policy restricting new members of iLounge from posting new threads in the Classifieds forum until they have reached "Regular Member" status.

New users become Regular Members once they have made 10 posts and been a member of the iLounge Forums for at least 7 days. Prior to this time, members may still read the Classifieds forum, and even respond to existing threads for items being sold by other members, but they may not create new threads advertising their own items for sale.

This will hopefully help to protect our user community by discouraging fraudulent users from signing up and posting classified ads without having at least a very basic level of established membership in our forums.

Obviously all users should still exercise due diligence when making use of our classifieds forums, but we hope that this restriction will help to decrease the number of blatantly fraudulent ads that we have been seeing in recent weeks.

Please be sure to review our Classified Forum Policy for more information.

My Ipod as stop working it won't turn on and my computer does not recognize it. My warranty expires on November 3rd and made an appointment to take it in that day. Will my warranty still work.

That all depends on the language of the warranty. I am sorry but I am not about to read through Apple's 500 page EULA and warranty terms. Normally speaking, a warranty expires the day it is listed. So, if your warranty is listed as expiring on November 3rd, that means that it expires that day (probably at 00:00) while you are still in bed asleep. Your best bet would be to take your iPod in today (though it might be too late), otherwise Apple could turn you away since your warranty will be expired by the time you bring it in.

Apple - at least in my experiences - is great with warranty repairs. Though it may/may not violate the EULA, if you take it to an Apple Store they will generally repair/replace your product. The reason I use Apple gear is because they are the best when it comes to customer service and warranty repairs. I wouldn't worry too much about it :)

Personal Experience: I dropped my iPad 2, shattering the glass. Apple quoted me $375 to replace, but waived the fee if I promised not to do it again. They had NO obligation to do this. None whatsoever. No other company on the planet would have done that for me. Love these guys.

Thats really nice of them, its the first time I heard that they forgiven the $375 for your oath, that you wont repeat it again, seems quite fascinating, never heard of this act ever before!
