Ooo, I like this topic. Planes, Trains and Automobiles a classic John Candy flick, I almost pee my pants every time I watch it. Key Largo, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Ice Station Zebra, Journey to the Center of the Earth [1959], 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or Around the World iIn 80 Days were all great movies.
But, I have to say my all time favorite movie is
Casablanca from 1942. It stars Humphrey Bogart, Ingrad Burgman (who is hot, considering she's older than my grandmother???), it is a drama, mystery, love story, about deception, suspense, and more rolled into one black and white flick. Probably watched it 100 times and is my top watched movie in my iTunes library as well as keeping a copy on my laptop for when I'm travelling. But anyway I'm a real B&W movie junky, even in this day of hi-tech, hi-resolution video. It's best video effects for the day were done towards the end of the movie. Midgets were used against the backdrop of a card broad cutout of an airplane, I still can't see the difference. Well done.
Favorite animated movie? It may have been Heavy Metal for the music and boobs, but I'll have to go back to probably my next most watched movie in iTunes, Walt Disney's Robin Hood. Sir Hissss being my favorite character.
Got to go, go figure, Casablanca is now playing on the Apple TV.
