Whoo! Hi guys, I'm totally brand new (nearly as new as my 4th gen iPod nano ) to this forum. I had a iPod nano 1st gen too (back when they came out) but since then I've had a Sony Walkman...until...dun, dun, DUN...the 23rd of September, when my lovely (PRODUCT) red iPod arrived...it took 5 days to arrive at my door-step though

Hi there.

It's been a long time between drinks (well, not really, I had a bottle of sprite an hour ago).

I'm Stuart.

I've had a Black 1st gen Nano since 2005. I had iWorm - made for *my name* engraved on the back. I ordered mine the week they came out. When my parents gave it to me on my birthday I was stoked. I spent a fair chunk of that rainy day just listening to various stuff on it. I mean, what else is there to do on a rainy day when you have a nasty cold?

Anyway, only ever had one problem with iWorm, the screen died once, so they replaced it with a nice shiny new one.

That was the middle of 2006. Two and a quarter years later, iWorm's been retired from duty.
I went out last week and decided to buy myself a new Nano - an 8 gig green 4th gen which I've named Treeleaf.

Expect to see me around.

Hi all

Hey all,

Just wanna say hi to everyone. I'm a newbie with iPod... just bought a used 5th generation, black iPod video last week. And believe it or not, it is my first iPod. Yeah yeah... I've been living in stone age.

I'm not new with digital music though; I've been loading up my BlackBerry with songs so I can listen to my collection when I'm traveling. I finally decided to get an iPod to have it integrated with the stereo system in my car. I was getting tired of swapping MP3 CD's.

So far, I'm having a blast. The sound reproduction in my car was waaaaaaaaay better than MP3 CD's. I took it on my trip from Seattle to L.A. this week, took it on the treadmill at the hotel... but I think listening on it on a pair of earphones weren't as good as I expected. The equalizer wasn't working too well either, in my opinion. But I'm ecstatic with how it's integrated to the car's stereo via MOST (m0bridge) connection .

Gotta say I enjoyed this forum so far, the FAQ has been helpful. Maybe I'll try uploading some vids for my next trip .

Cheers,
Jeremy

Welcome to the forums! Good to hear you've finally joined the iPod family. This is a great place to post questions about problems your having with your iPod or just general questions. Welcome aboard!

Hi all,

Just got an iPhone 3G for my birthday, and I'm really stoked! Looking to learn much from everyone here, and hopefully be able to contribute something now and again as well!

Introducing Myself

I've finally bought my first iPod (also my first digital camera). I am a 56-year-old female resident of the East Coast of the U.S., which puts me outside of just about every desirable computer gadget demographic group.

However, I have worked on mainframe computers for 35+ years and speak COBOL fluently.

I spend way too much time on the Internet.

But when I tear myself away from the computer, I like to read legal thriller books. Authors of such books that I have read are:

John Grisham
Scott Turow
William Bernhardt (lives in Tulsa)
Lisa Scottoline (lives in the Philadelphia area)
Jeremiah Healy (lives in Boston)
Grif Stockley (lives in Arkansas)
Richard North Patterson (not to be confused with another thriller writer James Patterson, whom I haven't read yet - the two were born exactly 4 weeks apart in Feb./March 1947, lives in San Francisco)
Phillip Margolin (lives in Portland, OR)
Steve Martini (reading his latest, "Shadow of Power", right now, based on the West Coast)
Jay Brandon (from San Antonio)
Michael Kahn (from St. Louis, which I just visited for the first time ever)
Philip Friedman (from New York)
Joe L. Hensley (1926-2007, brother of Neil Diamond's longtime keyboard player Tom Hensley, was from Indiana)

I haven't yet explored using the iPod to read books, but that may eventually happen.

Cool Hello there.

Hi, I'm Dan from New Zealand. Been iPoding for years now and have just brought a 16GB touch but also have a ("recently replaced" before the warranty ran out ) 80GB Classic so I can still rock around with the majority of my collection. It was starting to pack a sad like my 30GB video did 14 months after purchase so lucky the 'backlight stopped working' all of a sudden, microwaves will do that.

Any how the reason why I found myself here is I figure this is the best place to be informed asap when the hack software is available for the G2 touch/phone and also may be able to help others with any iPod problems, thanks for reading. Dan.
