How many Gigabytes is enough?

I love my 80gb but ive also only used about 15 gigs on it, what do you think a considerable amount of gigs is, 30? 60? 80? 160?!!!

This AGAIN??

There's no such thing as "enough." No matter how much capacity you add, people will always want more. Simple as that.

I would rephrase the question, something like how many gigs do you need to get by ish. Other wise Everyone will say 1TB, 100TB ect.

I would be happy with a 64gb touch my self, that would meet all of my needs.

I would say that a 64 gig nano would finally allow me to put all of the music I want to have with me on an ipod that is small enough to use at work assuming I keep everything at 192kbps.

At first I had trouble filling up 8GB, but I have sincefound ways where it simply isn't enough. I would say 160GB, 'cause knowing me, it would probably be the biggest waste of money ever lol.

I do fine with 16GB. 100 full albums, about 50 albums worth of my smartlist generated music mixes, about a GB worth of podcasts, about 20 hours worth of audibook chapters, and a few GB left over for video, photos, or whatever I feel like.

Until I find something else to do with the space, this seems like more than adequate for my usage patterns.

Update to my post a month ago since I have converted all of my radiohead to lossless and everything else to 320aac I would say that until I have at least a 128gb nano I will still have to swap music on and off of my ipod. I guess its all about how much music a person truly listens to as opposed to people just wanting to have everything they have ever ripped on their ipod for me having 1000+ albums on my ipod isnt a waist of space because at 32 years old I have alot of music that I do want to hear even if only once every few months.

try this for size

http://www.electricpig.co.uk/2008/04...terabyte-ipod/

i was happy with discman, then minidisc ATRAC3 tracks fitting into the same space, i was happy with 4gb mini 128 mp3, then upping the bitrates to fill 20gb, but if i'm honest i'd still be happy with a nano containing just a handful of ALACs. new music means more to me than old music.

that said, if technology becomes affordable, i will go for more space.

When I had a 4gb Nano, 8gb would have seemed more than enough...

I now have a Nano 8gb and have discovered video....120gb would be probably just right at the same size/form factor as my Nano Fatty, but when I eventually have that, it'll be nowhere near enough.

I recently updated to a 160gig Classic, because my 60gig 5G wasn't enough anymore. Now I'm reaching the limits of my 160gig. I guess more space gives you more possibilities to collect different stuff.
