• With the number of recent threads from brand new users that we have observed in our Classifieds forum selling goods under questionable circumstances, we have instituted a new policy restricting new members of iLounge from posting new threads in the Classifieds forum until they have reached "Regular Member" status.

New users become Regular Members once they have made 10 posts and been a member of the iLounge Forums for at least 7 days. Prior to this time, members may still read the Classifieds forum, and even respond to existing threads for items being sold by other members, but they may not create new threads advertising their own items for sale.

This will hopefully help to protect our user community by discouraging fraudulent users from signing up and posting classified ads without having at least a very basic level of established membership in our forums.

Obviously all users should still exercise due diligence when making use of our classifieds forums, but we hope that this restriction will help to decrease the number of blatantly fraudulent ads that we have been seeing in recent weeks.

Please be sure to review our Classified Forum Policy for more information.

I have about 6,300 CD's. When i purchased my 1st iPod (80GB 5G) i knew that fitting all of the songs (Not to mention my vinyl albums) would be a long & tedious task but i took on the job knowing that in the end i would have at least half of my music collection with me at all times. It was and is a labor of love. Just going back and listening to old tracks i havent heard in years is great. The only problem is i was somewaht picky when selecting songs off of various CD's. In the world of music very rare is the whole album good (There are exceptions!) So i sifted through my collection getting 2 or 3 songs per album mabey more depending on the artist then it happened! Apple releases the classic line and introduces a 160GB iPod. I knew before i read the 1st review here on iLounge that i was going to get one as soon as my finances permitted. 2 weeks later my package arrived. I am happy with the 6th generation althought it has it's problems. I was and still am excited about the unit. What floats my boat is that 160GB on the mirrored back side of the classic. This is why i made the purchase and also where my problem lies. Now that i have the extra space (Twice the size:D) I have had to start all over ripping the songs that did not "make the cut" the 1st time! Oh well you live and u learn. The moral of this story is don't discriminate your music! You owe it to yourself to at least put it on iTunes and manually manage your iPod. Peace!!

His point is don't build your library based on the size of your iPod. I learned that YEARS ago, and have never looked back,

I always rip all the tracks... I even rip tracks that I already have on another album.
