Meh. It looks okay. I wonder how much they'll charge for it. I'm betting that the 6G iPod will look cooler than this and be easier to use.

Archos wi-fi 80GB touchscreen player costs $649.99 here. I highly doubt this can even touch the iPod. What it does show is that higher capacities can be produced for the DAP market now.

That's a good price for that kind of capacity. Archos has always been way ahead of the other manufacturers in terms of capacity. They've blazed the trail in that area. I fully expect the next iPod to be at least 120 gig on the high end.

No one is going to be able to do much better than that unless they make the units bigger. I'm curious to see how iPhone holds up. I'm guessing it'll have similar bat life.

that looks cool but I don't think people will by them as much because they wouldn't be easy to run with with out scratching it. They look sort of bulky compared the newer ipods today too.

Archos players have always been uglier, larger and harder to use than iPods. More full featured, yes, but features aren't the be all and end all.

I was serious when I said the 80GB Archos touchscreen with wi-fi was $650 Canadian (on sale right now for $550). I have proof: http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...90&catid=22578

Now we know why people buy iPods instead (other than ease of use, iTunes etc)

Oh, and the battery life for audio is 25 hours, and for video it is 4.5 Hours.

400 bucks for 160GB is sooo amazing, I don't know how apple will combat that, plus you can go online with this mofo?
