Talking Clicker

haha i know this is kinda weird but doesn't anyone miss the option where you could choose the clicker sound like ON OFF and HEADPHONES? i know I do. it's so much trouble to start scrolling through songs and realize that im causing a lot of noise and have to go back to setting and shut it off.

It's in Settings.

I don't miss it, because I still have that option (speaker/headphones/both/off). Like LukeA says, check your settings.

Yeah, I think Apple took that option out when they made the 5.5G ipod. I miss that option too. I would like to be able to hear the clicker in my headphones only so I don't disturb the people around me by the sound since I listen to my ipod in class.

Did you look under Settings> Clicker> [Speaker|Headphones|Both|Off]?

bwh79, on a 5.5G ipod, when you go to settings it's Settings> Clicker> [On|Off]. There's only the option to turn the clicker off or on. It doesn't have the option to choose speakers or headphones.

Yeah? Okay (didn't know that before). I wonder why they would eliminate that feature. Yeah I guess I would miss that, too. I have the clicker through my headphones only on my nano.

Why DID Apple remove that feature? I remember my Mini and Nano having that feature and I really miss it on my 5.5G. I listen to my iPod in class and the Clicker is set to "On', and then everyone looks at me because they can hear the clicking sound. And if the Clicker uses a speaker, can't Apple make a firmware update to enable us to play audio from our movies and music to be piped through the speaker?

Because the 'speaker' is a tiny, tinny, piezo transducer attached to the iPod's backplate and capable of making two sounds.
