I was curious to see what other people name their iPod. Include your model, the name, and how you came up with the name.
Mine: -15GB -"The Thin Ice" -Track 2, Side 1 of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" Patrick.

it was great to see that peeps name their iPods...
we VW New Beetle (also known as Pods) owners also name our dubs. since my NB is white and his name is stormtrooper and the iPod is white i was thinking mini-trooper or trooper or storm or whitey... i saw a sig that said lucy, which i thought was cool.

Whitey... LOL. I've often pondered about moving to Puerto Rico and opening up a tavern "Whitey's Pub". Wonder how the locals would react.
No names here. Never really thought about it... now that I have, I think it is kinda weird... |

If I had an engraving on it, it would have had my Pod's name. My Pod's name is my own full legal name.

jPod.
My first name is Jason, so it just makes sense. Either that, or "My One True Love" (but don't tell my family / SO)

Mine is YAK POD. It's a nickname that's grown on me so I use it often.

Quick response:
g-Pod Long response: About a year ago (it was 2 days before memorial day), this kid nicknamed me "Gizmo". I asked that kid again what he thought I should name my iPod, and he said "Gizmo, name it g-Pod". It isn't engraved with that name (my dad had it engraved when he returned it to be exchanged for a new one, (defective hard drive), since they were out of stock, he ordered one w/ engraving), because I hadn't told my parents what I had named it. |

My 15GB is called "Poddom" - a combination of my first name and iPod. I wanted to avoid "DomPod" as I thought it would be too clich?. This way it sounds more like a real name and less like someting generated by Cupertino... and rolls off the tongue quite well too!
