• With the number of recent threads from brand new users that we have observed in our Classifieds forum selling goods under questionable circumstances, we have instituted a new policy restricting new members of iLounge from posting new threads in the Classifieds forum until they have reached "Regular Member" status.

New users become Regular Members once they have made 10 posts and been a member of the iLounge Forums for at least 7 days. Prior to this time, members may still read the Classifieds forum, and even respond to existing threads for items being sold by other members, but they may not create new threads advertising their own items for sale.

This will hopefully help to protect our user community by discouraging fraudulent users from signing up and posting classified ads without having at least a very basic level of established membership in our forums.

Obviously all users should still exercise due diligence when making use of our classifieds forums, but we hope that this restriction will help to decrease the number of blatantly fraudulent ads that we have been seeing in recent weeks.

Please be sure to review our Classified Forum Policy for more information.

As the 2nd Gen shuffles are aluminium silver, does anyone know or think that they will bring them out in other colours, similar to the 2nd gen Nano? I'd certainly get one.

Welcome to the lounge!

I don't see Apple putting too much into the new Shuffles as they aren't the best selling products. I'd see more colors for the nano perhaps in the future though.

It very well could see different colors. What I'd really like to see is a simple LED on them, kind of like on the sony 'Core' mp3 players.

Colors would be easy to implement, but I don't know how much of a market there would be for them. Possibly introduce a black version as well as the silver and see how that works. I'd personally like to see the clip detachable and replaceable with other holding techniques such as a lanyard or key ring. Make room for third parties to build different accessory type devices that could slide in in place of the current clip.

Yeah, I think extra colours would not be an unrealistic prediction. I agree that the clip should be an option - some people will be happy to have just the Shuffle body sans clip. Not only would this be an even smaller device but would allow other options to attach it to clothing, cases etc.

Display? Well, the Shuffle looks so clean without one. The key would be to integrate a display that looks 'right'.

Not worth the energy for Apple to figure it out! We Shuffle users like our no-display player. :) The Nano is small enough for anyone who wants a tiny MP3 player with a display and I think it would be a waste of resources (and like bobbit said - defeat the purpose) for the Shuffle.
