Widescreen with useful buttons! (PICS!)

I was bored so i made this bad sketch of a widescreen iPod with some useful buttons that look ugly but would help me a lot IMO. Also, I would have made the widescreen better but i was running short on time

CLICK!

another way...

check my thread like 2 below yours, about concept ipods. I have my own version of the widescreen ipod, which would allow for a slightly larger screen and smaller ipod than that particular design, but then again, mine dosent have a scroll wheel... you could also goto my link in my signature

It'd be interesting to see a widescreen model that would maybe be a bit longer than the current iPod to fit the scrollwheel however it would only use the widescreen for better video/photo viewing. Maybe some type of software that would recognize when you turn it horizontally so video and photos would look good in a widescreen format. Then would scale back to the normal iPod resolution or whatnot in the vertical "mode".

I agree completely but it might be too complicated. Unless they had a sensor :thinking intently:

Apple isn't about to change the overall look of the iPod. Every new generation has had relatively minor alterations (thickness, button layout, etc) but they have all remained as a rectangle with a screen above that famous clickwheel. I don't think Apple can risk straying from that winning design for a select few wanting an iPod that stresses video over music, and not the other way around.
