When you bought your iPod(s), did you buy it on impulse, or did you want it for a long time and save up?
Personally, it was a combination for me, but mostly impulse. I'd been considering getting an iPod for awhile, but never really thought it was a very high priority. One day in Best Buy, I was walking past the iPods, and just decided to go for it. I didn't have ALL the money at the time, only $250/$300, so my Mom lowned me the $50 I needed at the time. Later she said not to worry about paying her back, said it was a gift for making Eagle Scout! So, what's your story? Did you live in agony for months, saving change and cutting meals to save for your iPod, or did you just wip out your credit card and swipe it through?

I decided i wanted an iPod and then two weeks later bought it. I didn't have to save up though because there was already about £600 lying around in my room. When i got my shuffle though, that was extremely impulsive. I watched the Apple keynote presentation and then ordered it the next day. Again, no need to save up.

I'd thought about buying one but never really needed one...then finally I said what the hell and went to target and handed over my credit card.
life is good. I heart impulse buying lol.

I'm not sure how to answer this poll. I had gotten $200 for my birthday and I really wanted a PSP but I didn't feel like waiting so I decided to get a Mini and I'm really glad that I bought it because I don't know what I did without it before.

My first iPod was a gift, so it was answer d) a total suprize.
However this one I am going to get this weekend (new 20gig color) is a saving up kind of thing. I know what I want and know if i don't do some saving that I will not eat for 2 weeks as a result of purchasing it. So saving is my option. PLus if I save, I can get exactly what I want instead of settling for a mini or shuffle.

My friend got an mp3 player and after playing around with it I decided i wanted one, so i did some research and found the ipodlounge and decided i wanted an iPod mini. I had enough money lying around so i didn't really have to save up, i just had to find a place where they had the color i wanted.

I had the money definitely, but I just needed some time to...think it over I guess and to get all my songs ready.

I had just gotten my first bigger paycheck form my job, like 120 dollars, so I started looking for an MP3 player, and then, my brother said, that I should save for an iPod rather than getting screwed by other companies, and because the ipod was so good, I actually saved up and got it, which is good for me, because Im into impulse buying, but, when I got my photo, that was impulse, I sold my 20gb 4g and got the photo......
