I moved my iTunes library to my RAID5 for redundancy, just in case, as well as a backup on firewire. I used to do it the other way around, library on firewire, backup on RAID 5 (PATA hardware based RAID) Now whenever I play a song while adding to the library, or even modifying ID3 tags the playback is very choppy, and it directly correlates with the data being accessed from the hard drive. How do I make this stop? Can I increase the playback buffer or something?
