i think the topic is kind of unclear, my intent is to have the itunes library matched to the one on my ipod right now. I had to move around a bunch of music files and thus had (!)'s on most of my songs on itunes and so had to get rid of them. The songs that I want are on my ipod and i want the library on itunes to be the same as on my ipod.
gosh i sound so dumb x_x is there anyway to do this? if there is, i must've skipped something pretty major. thanks all

Move all your music on your computer from the iTunes Music folder to a different folder. Then, clear out your library in iTunes. Since you moved the music to a different folder, you're only deleting the library listing, not the actual songs.
Then, use iPod Agent (see my sig for the link) to copy the music from your iPod to your computer. Put those files in the iTunes Music folder and add that folder to your iTunes library. Done.
