sync without deleting?

If this has been answered before, I apologize, but I can't seem to find an answer in the forums.

Is there any way to sync iPod and iTunes without having things that don't match up deleted?

What I mean is that when you sync the iPod with iTunes, iTunes deletes anything on the iPod that isn't also in iTunes- is there any way to avoid this? I want to be able to leave the music from other computers on my iPod, but still be able to sync to the main computer, to make adding music easier.

Hopefully this makes sense, and there is someone who has an answer...

The thing is, that's what I've been doing. I'm just wondering whether there's a way to use the automatic sync, and still not get anything deleted. I can function fine just doing it manually, but it'd be nice if there was a way where it still could detect and add for me, without the deleting part...
