How do I get my purchased music onto my ipod. I can't work it out and it's really annoying me

drag a title or more than one to the ipod icon in the itunes source list and it should be loaded onto the ipod

are you set to manually manage or automatically update?
windows or mac? have you tried closing itunes and reopening, ejecting ipod and reconnecting? |

am on windows set to manual. Yes I have tried reconnecting and evrything but no luck. Should I be on automatic?

You may need to update the firmware on your iPod in order to play iTunes Music Store purchased music on your iPod.
Download the latest iPod firmware from the link below, then install it on your iPod and try again. http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
