Unchecking all songs in itunes

So I'm listening to my friends music (shared) on itunes. He has a lot of beatles songs (about a thousand). I want to uncheck all the songs and only check some of them since I can't create a playlist. How do I uncheck all the songs so that I can lsisten to only ones I checked? Thanks!

Why can't you create a playlist? That's something that can be deleted after you finish with it.

because I am viewing his music through sharing. It doesnt let you since they arent your songs. So you cant create your own playlist. He would need to do it on his computer.

When you take into account all of their albums, the Anthology, and other compliations with unreleased songs and such, the number would be close to 1000 (if not more). I've just done a quick calculation of all my Beatles albums and collections, and I've got around 800 songs personally.
