Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Hi everybody.
I have been using iTunes for windows for more than a year now, and are mostly satisfied. But when i reinstalled my computer a couple of weeks ago, i encountered a problem. I've been running iTunes 4.5 English version, and after that 4.5 norwegian version. After reinstallation i installed the norwegian 4.6. Since i've been using iTunes with my ipod, i wanted to use my old smart playlists, and ratings. This is were the problem starts. I copied the old itunes music library.xml file to my docs\ my music\iTunes This way all my music were functioning and rated as before, exept "compilations" and all "unknown albums". Songs in these two categories stopped working. That is probably because the norwegian version makes folder with norwegian names like "samlinger" "ukjente album" it seems like itunes have moved some files, but not all to the new location, so i basicly have files spread around a bit. In addition the new 4.6 norwegian have a new name for compilations called "samlinger" and not "samleplater" as the old version 4.5. That makes the files even more spread out. What can i do to gahter all the missing files in iTunes? Will Consolidat library fix my problem? I'll welcome every tip! Eirik |
