How do u transfer files from an ipod to iTunes? y cant i just drag them from the pod to the library?

iTunes will not do it for you.
You can either use Windows Explorer (make sure you enable the "view hidden files and folders") or one of the third-party applications found in our Downloads section. And the reason why Apple doesn't allow copying of music from the iPod back to iTunes is that they're trying to cut-down on people "sharing" (i.e., "stealing") music.
