First, I enabled sharing in iTunes. This is done by selecting iTunes:Preferences:Sharing. You get a window like this:

Next, you'll want to get the URL for linking. Hold down "Control" and click on a playlist, source, or song and you'll get a contextual menu. Select "Copy Sharing URL"

You'll get a url with a bunch of information in it. It starts with your IP address. If you keep it the way it is, it'll link directly to the playlist, source or song you clicked on. If you want to link to everything you're sharing, delete everything after your IP address. Paste this somewhere. (On my link above, I've linked to a Smart Playlist that contains all my AAC files - for better buffering!)
Then, visit your computer's Sharing preferences, found in System Preferences, under sharing. Open the Firewall tab. Click "New". You'll get a window like this:

You'll need to create a new protected port for iTunes to share through. iTunes shares via port 3689. So, select "Other" and then type in 3689, and then title it. If it works, you should see something like this in your Firewall window:

That's a good point mrm, but anyone who connects to my shared music will have my IP anyway (mouse over my shared music image in my sig and you'll see it there). I have my Firewall on - that was the whole point of creating a new protected port for iTunes. Obviously a determined user could probablty get around OSX's firewall, but the odds are low they'd find anything interesting or useful on my computer, never mind the fact that most people's computers get "pinged" by hundreds of hackers every day.

I have followed your proceedure to the letter and still can't get it to work. My problem may be my Aiport. I set up port mapping with internet port 3869 to privat port 3869 but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Oh, and also whan I copy my sharing IP from iTunes it gives about 2 lines of stuff, but none of it is actually my IP adress. The link in my sig below is through www.iTunesstatus.com and I still am having no luck....
