Stop Using iCloud

My wife currently uses iCloud to sync her Outlook (Outlook 13) Calendar and Contact between her PC (Windows 10) and her iPhone 7. She would like to stop using iCloud but is concerned about losing all of her calendar events and contacts. Is there some way to insure that information is retained on the PC? Thanks, GPS

Just to be safe, you can backup this information in a couple of ways:
Calendar and Contacts to a PST file
Contacts to a CSV file (Excel).
Calendar only to PST file with filtering.

If you stop the sync, the data remains on the device but gets removed from iCloud.

Have you backed up your iTunes Library this week? If not, you are risking losing your music and playlists....
