Hi,
I want to get the album artwork for one of my CD's in iTunes. I live in Canada and that particular album is not available in the Canadian iTunes, but it is in the American. I know I can google search and copy/paste but is there a way I can get the artwork from the American iTunes by "get download artwork"? I was thinking about making an American account but I don't know if they'll let you. Thanks! |

For an American account I think you'd need a credit card with a US billing address. It is likely to be far easier to use Google or Amazon for the artwork.

You can always set up any country's account you want via the "free app" method.
1. Sign out of the iTunes store. 2. Go to the country's store you want. 3. Go to download a free app 4. At that dialog, choose to create a new account 5. Under payment method, select none (this option is not available if you just go to set up an account without doing so from the purchase dialog) Note: You don't need a real address, but you do need to have your address in the right format for the country in question (I've just always Googled a business to get a dummy address, changed a few elements and, ta-da). And, of course, you will need a unique email for the new Apple ID. ------ That all said, there isn't one high quality bit of artwork in the iTunes store. The best is still lowish res for any device that shows it, and it's all compressed to hell and back with artifacts out the yinyang. Even when I buy music from the iTunes store, I always replace the artwork.

If you don't have a regular, good backup routine for your music and media you will eventually lose it all. Hint: Using your iPod as your backup strategy is not a good plan. |
