Hi,
I have just downloaded Free Download Manager which speeds up downloads by downloading different bits of the file that download fastest (or something like that). instead of using itunes download manager, is there any way to find the download urls of different things it's downloading 9like films, or new ipod firmware) |

No. Content downloaded using iTunes goes through Apple's servers. You can access the iTunes Store only through iTunes and cannot pass downloads off to a 3rd party client. In all honesty, unless the source server is really slow (and Apple's servers are not slow), downloading different bits from different servers isn't going to be any faster than downloading everything from a single server. In this day and age, I see no need for such software as most servers are more than fast enough. The only ones that aren't are those free hosting sites like Rapidshare but they decrease download speeds for free users.
Either way, there is absolutely no need for you to use such software when downloading content from Apple using iTunes.

Well. First of all, iTunes doesn't use firmware; don't know what you're talking about there.
As kornchild2002 says, you can only download iTunes store content via iTunes.

They might be talking about custom firmware for their iDevice. If that is the case, they would not be downloading anything using iTunes and can try to implement their needlessly complex plan to obtain a 400MB customized version of iOS 0.000000005 seconds faster.
