Can One Change The Size Of The Grid View In iTunes?

I am fairly irritated with iTunes 11 as the way I like to view my music is no longer possible. The images are far to large for my liking on the albums section so there's a tedious effort of going through all my albums. I know I could search in the top right, but sometimes I don't know what I wish to listen to. I didn't have that problem before though as the icons were small enough so that I could have a good look at the overall picture. I also have annoyance with the fact that when you search the icons no longer disappear but there is a box at the top right. This makes it much harder for me to change the information in an album.

Are there any ways to change any of these? If not are there any good alternatives?

If there are no good alternatives how does one go about by downgrading to the previous iTunes?

There are other views. I have gone back to the grid list of all songs.
