2 Ipods synching podcasts only

I have two Ipods. What I'd like to do is just synch the podcasts on both, not the music or anything else. I see there is a way to set up a new library and drag files into it , then open the new library anytime but I don't want music. Can I do this without creating a new library? Is it possible that I can just ask it to synch podcasts when I open up Itunes, synch then open up itunes again with the other ipod and have music synched with the other one?

Select your iPod in iTunes and explore the sync settings by clicking the tabs along the top. You can customize the settings to your preferences. Go through the tabs and uncheck the sections or media you do not want syncing then check "Sync Podcasts" at the top of it's tab. You can further customize syncing by exploring the options in each tab. iTunes also has the capability to remember the sync settings for multiple iPods so it is possible to sync different content to different iPods as well.

Sounds like you unchecked the Sync Music button on the second iPod.

Similar steps as syncing Podcasts, just use the Music section instead of the Podcast section.

Yes that possible, I ended up just synching my playlists on my old ipod as I cannnnnn't figure out how i could synch the entire libray again as its to big to fit on the the old one so I'd have to find a way to cut some songs out

What I do with my 4GB 3rd Gen Nano is sync to particular playlists that contain the music I want but do not exceed 4 GB.

You can make a playlist that takes a sample of a larger playlist and tell it to be restricted to a particular size too. Check out the options on Smart Playlists.
