Background.... I am new to itunes and I collect music by albums only. No single songs. I do have 'various artist' albums. I have just finished getting all album art fixed to their albums and I've made a list of missing tracks to later download. My issue is with my various artist albums. If I tag them so that they will be searchable under my 'artist' link... then the frag out to the artist folders as 1 album for each song. So if the album has 10 songs on it...it will show up now as 10 albums in the album count at the bottom of the screen, and I won't find the 'whole album' under the album link anymore. If I tag them so they come back together under the 'album' link... then I can't find them by artist without using the 'search' box.
Is there a way, like in WMP, where I can find the album complete under the album link, AND find the 1 song under the artist link for that artist?? Thanks!!

Dunno; for these various artists albums, I use:
Set Compilation = ON Album Artist = Various Artists Artists = actual individual artists name This should keep all the songs as one album. Then in iTunes, you can use the "compilation view" option to either show or not show all the individual artists in the artist browser list. (not near iTunes, so can't look for the specific menu selections for this...look around).

This is how I already had them tagged so I just highlighted all various artists CDs and checked 'part of a compilation'. No change.... my album count is accurate, but I still don't find songs from these CD's in their individual artist tabs. So either I have to know the track lists for these CD's or just search for a song in the search box. Ugh.....
