After using iTunes for an hour or so, I always get the "iTunes could not save music file, error (-50)." I have tried removing the .xml and .itl files and readding them into the library, but the problem still persists. How can I fix this permanently? Someone mentioned a file that I had to delete but I'm not sure where that file is.
I am on Windows 7 and the newest iTunes |

It sounds like a permissions issue on the files (iTunes Music.itl, xml), the directory the files are in or the chain of directories from the drive down to where the iTunes Music.itl file resides.
Check to make sure the files are not read only. Check to see that you own them. Check the directory they are in for ownership and read only, and repeat for each directory all the way up the chain. right click the File or Folder in Windows Explorer and Choose Properties. Here is where you can see if it is read only or not. Make sure Read Only is unchecked. Go to the Security Tab, click on Advanced. Click on the Owner tab. The Owner Name is who owns the file. If it is your login name you are OK, if it is S-1... then it does not know who the owner is. Highlight the owner name. Click on Replace Owner... Click on OK to make your login the owner.
