iTunes library disappeared! Help!!!

Okay so I went on to iTunes one day and it was all gone. I checked on here for a solution, and it said you need to locate a previous library in the iTunes folder and drag it onto iTunes. I do that, but nothing happens. I thought I'd upload my library so someone could take a look at it and see if they can tell me what's wrong? Thanks guys.

First off, try holding the SHIFT key when starting iTunes.
In the popup window locate what should be your iTunes Library (My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl)
If the library is no longer empty, problem solved.

If that showed an empty library, close iTunes.
Navigate to My Music/iTunes.
Send the iTunes Library.itl file to the recycle bin.
Assuming you picked the iTunes Library<date>.itl file from the Previous iTunes Libraries that has the latest date (if you didn't, the copy the latest date one from My Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Library to My Music\iTunes)
Rename the iTunes Library<date>.itl to remove the date and become iTunes Library.itl
Start iTunes.

You should see your library now. Though any changes made since the date will have to be re-done.
So if you bought music, then you will have to reimport it from the My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\<artist>\<album>\<track>.[m4a|mp3|m4b]
Or if you made new playlists they will have to be recreated, etc.

Don't bother with the PM that will not help.
