Re-Download Purchased Albums?

I have only purchased one album from iTunes and recently my system was stolen and sadly my backup database was local to the machine. I did a search on the forum so please don't digitally rape me. I just would like to know if I purchased one album, I have a replacement machine, how can I re-download my album I previously purchased from iTunes?

Thanks for any assistance.

Apple will not normally let you re-download music (apps yes, music no). However, you can try contacting Customer Service to see if they'll let you this time:

Either that or if the album is still on your iPod and the iPod was not also stolen, you could use the iLounge guide to copying from your iPod to your computer.

Wow that is scary to know that if I pay for something like this, I can't simply re-download the album. How do I go about contacting Apple Support?

You're expected to safeguard your purchase using common computer backup procedures. You wouldn't leave your CDs out on the sidewalk and then expect to be able to go back to the store to replace them when they're taken, right?
