Why do i keep getting this when i start up iTunes? Last time i made the mistake of clicking stop and my whole library was "Damaged" I was able to restore it from a functional library... itunes library.itl This takes a long time when i let it happen but i dont want to go thru the pain of finding an older working library and using that one. What is going on here?
  Forgot to mention.. windows xp pro, with itunes 8 Here is what i got now. i know it is not damaged... i was just listening to it!   And it keeps going on and on and on....

Apparently i am alone on this. itunes acted as if it was newly installed and i had to wait for genious do its thing. It took the better part of a night to complete. Anyway all seems fine today. I had to wait an hour for the library.itl.xml file to complete, then searched for album covers and info, then genious. TALK ABOUT PAINFUL!
