i've got the ipod 60gig video. i tend to download regular music, and then i download bad 70's/80's/90's music as a joke, usually for when my friends are sitting around drinkin.
the thing is, i dont wanna delete it, it's fun playing "remeber this song?". so my question is, can i set-up shuffle to some how skip these bad songs? possibly a way to mark them "dont play"? also (from what i hear this is not possible). would it be possible, when i'm browsing by artist, to hide the bad artists i dont want, in a sub-folder? when i'm driving, i like to find something quick and with all these bad songs in between good stuff, it takes forever to scroll through the list. |

or you can use smart playlists -
you can set up a main playlist that you shuffle to play your music, mark all your "joke" songs with one star, then have the smart playlist play anything that is not one star once you start using smart playlists, the possibilities are endless. playlists can be stored in folders. if you have a lastest gen ipod you can browse the playlists you like. or create a playlist for your one star songs and don't sync it to the ipod. john |

You can also put your favorite artists in their own smart playlists. I've just gotten into using them and it's fantastic!
