I'd like to create simple lists of particular playlists from iTunes but can't seem to do it without going through the big hassle of using excel and lots of after editing. The list would only be song title, artist, maybe album too occasionally. Using the txt file created by Apple has way too much info in it.
Am I missing something? What's everybody else doing in Windows? Thx |

Have you noticed that the columns shown are what gets copied into Excel? Too much info, just deselect columns.

Sheeese... too few features... too much info... just can't win can ya?
![]() Getting rid of columns u don't want in excel is ez nuff, as per Essin. If u do this all the time and want a more automated way, u can always write yourself a custom script.

Don't export ... copy what you see in iTunes and paste directly into Excel. You can copy and paste a playlist, your entire library, or your iPod's contents (if you manually manage it). If you don't want certain columns in Excel, then either remove them from view in your playlist or delete them after pasting to Excel.

Don't forget the excellent print functions built-in in iTunes. Both CD-covers and plain song lists look fine. |
