displaying track info in iTunes?

I've searched through these forums and in Google, and I still can't find a good solution to this, so I hope someone can help.

I use iTunes (Windows) on a laptop in my house. I would like to be able to see the now-playing track info from across the room. This isn't a problem when I'm in Party Shuffle mode, as I can display the track info & artwork in full screen mode. But when I'm in list view mode (like when I'm playing an album), I can't see a way to do this. The visualizer displays the track info in too small of a font to read it from afar. And the Cover Flow view makes no sense to me, as I can't see a way to play an album in regular track order with it.

I've tried a couple of different plug-ins -- the Toaster plug-in crashes iTunes and the CD Art Display add-on is too much trouble and doesn't display the track info in a big enough font. It annoys me that I can do this so easily in Party Shuffle mode, but not when I'm listening to a regular album.

Any ideas? Thanks!

If you want an album to play tracks in order while in cover flow, all you have to do is sort the tracks by album (click the album header at the top of the tracks window until songs are sorted by album) and then go into full-screen cover flow mode. When an album is selected, simply hit the play button. Tracks will play in order.

Thanks, Germansuplex. For some reason, I hadn't sorted by album before going into cover flow mode. That works.

My larger question still remains -- I'd like to be able to display the track info in a large size in the visualizer or via some other add-on. Help, anyone?

Perhaps you should look for "iTunes Controller" software. Many of them have a pop-up display that shows track info, and you can often adjust the size of the window.

Viewing iTunes in full-screen cover flow mode, right-clicking and choosing "Use Larger Text" a few times gives me ample text size to read things from across the room. I'm not sure how the visualizer would look with giant text though. Seems like it defeats the purpose of the visualizer.
