iTunes doesn't show iPod battery level

This is an odd issue I've had for a while but never felt like addressing it.

When iTunes 7.4 was released I believe it was working fine, whenever I would connect my iPod it would show my battery status and it would say charging, but now since I have 7.5 it doesn't show anything, its like they never made that feature.

I'd like to know if anyone else is having the problem or if anyone knows how to solve it. Thank you.

I personally have never seen the iPod battery level displayed in iTunes. My buddy whom I just verbally asked hasn't either.

The iPod should show the battery charging with the jagged edge battery symbol. If you recently finished syncing it will be small and in the top right corner. If the iPod has gone to sleep, it will be large in the center of the screen.

Have you backed up your iTunes Library this week? If not, you are risking losing your music and playlists....

I believe the battery charging icon only shows up in iTunes with the new iPods and the latest iTunes. None of my older iPods show it in iTunes although my new iPod touch does display the icon in iTunes.

My ipod Classic shows the indicator on my Vista PC, but not on my XP PC. They both are running the same version of iTunes. It's not really a big issue, but just something I noticed...
