iTunes Think's I'm Not Connected To The Internet..?

But I have an 11mps connection!

This is what I get when I try and update my iPod software...

I can connect to the iTunes store no problem and can also download from it.

I've also reinstalled iTunes a couple of times. It's obviously the newest version of iTunes also. For what it's worth I have a 80gb Classic, don't think that matters though.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Possibly a firewall issue. The Apple Software Update utility is a separate entity from iTunes so will need separate permission to access the net.

Well I'm using the Windows firewall and I've tried turning it off and I still get the same problem.

Any more thoughts?

Apple has help.

Good find cjmnews. Your search did a better job than mine did on the Apple site.
