So i downloaded a couple of songs today and one of the songs was only like 3 minutes but the file was like 7.9mb ususally songs of this lenght are like 3mb so i looked the info and the song was
298KBPS AAC Audio File i must say the song sounds perfect so i looked into my purchased songs and there were a couple of them that were around 260KBPS AAC but the rest were 128K AAC is there a reason why some songs are encoded this high but the majority are not? kinda sux it would be nice if all songs were |

i think its just apple which will enventually upgrade all songs to the higer bitrate...or certain songs may only be in a hight bitrate..thats wierd

well it looks like the only songs i purchased from itunes that are encoded higher than 128 are dance songs.. so i dont know.. it would really be great if they were all this way

Humm..well I'm looking through my songs I find some to actually be lower than 128kbps,
Faith Evans - True Love is 122kbps is encoded with FAAC 1.24+ as well. Snap! - Rythmn is a Dancer (CJ Stone Radio Remix) is 293kbps, and is encoded with FAAC 1.24+. Seems as though not all of them are encoded the same, don't ask me why. Otherwise the other 450 songs are the same ol 128kbps AAC.
