2 accounts, 1 iPod problem

I've read other people post about this and the answer seems to be that it makes no difference. BUT it sure does in my case . . . whenever I sync under one account, iTunes tells me purchases under my other account are unauthorized and deletes them from my iPod. Anyone know how to rectify this?

I forgot to add that, when I tried to play the content purchased on the "logged out" account, I had to log in to authorize it. It then told me I have used 2/5 authorizations. I just bough it yesterday and have only played it on this computer. Gah!

That's because they're posting either about two computers, with one iTunes account, or two user accounts on one computer. I have no idea how you can consolidate all the purchases from two accounts onto one iPod, but you can only have one iTunes account per iPod, AFAIK. You might want to look into merging the two accounts and working with only one.

Hmm... I currently have songs from two different iTunes store accounts. I manage this from my iTunes library, not from the iTunes store...

I find a song from one of the accounts, and click on it to play. It asks for the username and password. I input the correct ones for the songs associated account. I repeat with other songs in the account if needed.

It shouldn't matter as long as you have authorized the computer to play the accounts...

Perhaps explain in slightly more detail how you are attempting to authorize the computer? You can have songs from up to five different iTunes store accounts on a single iPod.

I sit corrected, Stu. My husband and I avoided this by sharing an iTunes account. At least he always tells me when he buys something so I'm not left wondering when I bought Johnny Bravo videos.
