The only way i am able to create a playlist for my ipod is adding them to the "on the go" playlist directly in the ipod. How can i upload a playlist i created in iTunes (not the song files, just the playlist) to my IpoD?

no they're not doign that for me. i have a playlist called "my ipod" whihc i sync to my ipod cuz my entire itunes ibrary and too big for my 4gig. Now i want to create more playlists to upload onto my ipod, not the songs again, just the playlist (ie i create a playlist to play all the rap/rock songs i got on my ipod). I created this playlist on itunes but it does not appear on my Ipod.

Du you have the playlists section showing in the iPod menu? That's a setting on the pod.

If you are syncing to Selected Playlists, you will need to add the new playlist in the iPod's Music preferences in iTunes. If your iPod is set to manual you will need to drag and drop the new playlist into the iPod. Playlists only point to the files, so if all the songs in the new playlist are already on the iPod, they will not be copied again. Both playlists will point to the same song files. Any song not already on the iPod will be copied over.
