Thanks Stu, that was a strange one. I always wondered what the iTunes preference "Group Compilations When Browsing" did, now we know. But this album shouldn't even be a compilation ... chalk that up to another Gracenote boo-boo. I keep a smart playlist that looks for "compilations" and review it periodically to make sure that when I import a CD I can go back and correct errors like this.

Compilations chap my thighs a lot. If I download a song from a greatest hits CD from the iTunes store I find that that is often marked as "compilation"

I however finally gave up on "grouping" my compilations. I don't mind a few extra artists here and there, especially since I put "featuring" artists into song titles, its more important that I find the artists I'm looking for in one place than to shorten my artists list any.
