Unhappy Broken Images, White-Outs

I have searched and searched for any kind of reference to this problem I have had since upgrading to iTunes7, but I cannot find anything about it, so maybe I am the only one. I don't know what else to do but to post here to see if anyone can help.

Since my upgrade to iTunes7, the graphics that make up iTunes eventually (within minutes) goes all wonky:

iTunes store is a wall of images showing broken chain links, indicating broken images galore; the library list of songs, artists, etc. become skewed and broken up, shifted, and when highlighting a song, that row goes completely blank; fonts shift and change in size all over the place, depending on interaction; dropdown menus are blackened out, and even if the menu is on the far right, the interaction shows as shifted all the way to the far left...

This is the ONLY program that does this on my computer. My graphics card driver, and all other device drivers are up to date. I have no other problems with my computer except in iTunes (it even slows down my computer tremendously at times).

Please please forgive me if there is already something written up about this, but I just could not find anything using keywords such as "broken images," "graphics issues," etc.

Thank you in advance for any insights.

DETAILS:
HP PAVILLION DV1000 notebook
WINDOWS XP
I don't keep the music on my hard drive, but connect iPod when I want to play through computer (wirelessly), but even when the music was on my hard drive, it was the same issue.
iPod Photo

Anything else?

Thanks!

Also, the Pavillion hasn't got an ATi ocr Nvidia card does it?
Are you using the drivers that Windows Update provides? They might be old as heck then.

All of my drivers are up-to-date. But you know what... that link provided by ESSIN may very well have fixed the problem!! It's only been a few hours of use, but the broken images, black outs, white outs, all happen usually within 5 - 15 minutes. If this fixed it, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

First, "up-to-date" drivers depends on who you ask. Where did you download them from? What brand is the graphics card?

Second, also update your DirectX
