Can I rename files after they've been deleted?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but can I renamed files with iTunes after the files have been deleted from my PC?

I think you mean that you have put the files from your computer to your ipod, once there on the ipod you deleted them from your PC. If so yep you can still rename the files, if your useing itunes, the ipod comes up and you can edit everything on your ipod as if your ipod was your music library.

Thanks Fundex, that's what I mean. But when I try to edit them I can't, all the boxes are greyed out.

You need to change the setting in iTunes to "manually manage your tunes". Connect the iPod, then click on it in iTunes, then click on the iPod Options button in the lower right. Set it to Manually Manage the iPod.

elbuoDnE

i'm afraid that once you have killed your songs on your computer you can not get itunes to get them back from your ipod. If you really want your songs back from your ipod search for a program called. podutil. or jsut use your ipod as your library.
