How do I stop iTunes from starting when I plug-in my iPod?
I have loaded all the song I need for now. I just want to plug in my iPod to charge it. I can start iTunes when I need it for future downloads. Can anyone help? |

Welcome. When you plug in the iPod and iTunes opens, go to Preferences>iPod>General tab and uncheck the box that says "open iTunes when this iPod is attached". This will stop iTunes from opening when the iPod is attached and you will have to open it via manually.

Thanks for the reply.
I have been looking for that message "open iTunes when this iPod is attached", but I do not see it in the General tab or the iPod tab. On the web I see that message for iPod Shuffles. Mine is a iPod color 30G. I am running iTunes 6.0.4, on Mac OS X 10.4.5. Any other ideas? |

Open iTunes> Preferences>iPod>General tab and look at the bottom. Uncheck the box.
This is the window: [/img]
