iTunes won't play songs

Hi

Something very odd has happend to me, suddenly iTunes wont play any songs. I click on them but nothing happens.

I have restarted my computer, updated iTunes, delete all iTunes files and reinstall. But nothing happens

Anyone have a solution? or have had the same problems?

Erik

It looks pretty normal when I try to play a song (no !) just that the little speaker doesn't have the sound waves beside it and the time never goes over 0,00 and the play button is still a play button (although nothing happens when I push it)

Thanks in advance

same exact problem. No error message just no sound waves coming from the little speaker, and the little diamond thing that shows the song playing doesnt move. I have a post a few threads down about it with a picture

Ok mcgahey13 I have solved the problem, It's a bit tricky but it's worth it.

First uninstall both itunes and quicktime then search for all files named something like "itunes", "quicktime" and "apple", delete them.

After you've made that dowload a fresh copy of itunes and installl. Some steps are probably unnecessary but it worked for me.

Good luck

This article will help you go through steps to get quicktime and iTunes off of your computer so you can redownload.

I wonder if it's a quicktime issue versus an iTunes issue since it is a playback issue.... Not sure.

I had the same problem but I got it working too. Sadly the only option i found was to redo all my tags with a 3rd party program then set it up again with itunes (still working on it...)

Wish I knew the quicker option!
