Hello, I'm recently a proud owner of a 5G 30 GB white iPod video, and my girlfriend is an owner of a 4 gb iPod mini and her sister is the owner of a 512 mb iPod shuffle.
The thing is, I'm the one that loads the songs onto their iPods as well as mine but recently when I went to add more songs to her iPod, all of her songs got replaced with my songs. Is their any possible way to create different libraries so I can avoid this next time? I dont want to have to keep putting the same old songs plus her new ones onto her iPod, then have to redo mine as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Each iPod has it's own update settings so you should be able to set each iPod to update as you see fit using a single iTunes library. Although you probably will need to set the iPods to update manually or only automatically update certain playlists.
- If you choose to update manually nothing should get transferred to, or removed from, the iPods unless you do it manually. - If you choose to automatically update only certain playlists, you could create a separate "master" playlist/folder in your iTunes library for each iPod and then set up each iPod to only update the corresponding playlist. Simply maintain the contents of these master playlists for each iPod and when each iPod syncs only the contents of the corresponding playlist should be updated on the iPod. |
