Simple question, but I haven't found an answer --
I just got a CD burner and burned an iTunes playlist to a CD. The track information does not get transferred -- when I put the CD in a different computer, all I get is Track 1, Track 2, etc. Is there any way to get the track information included at the time the CD is burned? Thanks. Scott |

Audio CDs do not store track or title information at all. Only the song itself is stored on the CD for Audio CDs.
When you put a commercial audio CD into your computer, your software (iTunes, Media Player, etc.) queries an internet database for the CD title and track information. This information is established using the total running time of the CD and the individual track times. Since every CD is just slightly different in terms of track count and play time, it's easy to establish which CD you put in your computer. Unless you submit your homemade CD to this internet database, your songs will always show up as "Track 1," "Track 2," etc. There is no way around this.

Burn data CD's rather than audio ones. Check out the Articles section of this very site,
