Saving Spot in Playlist in iTunes

I have a very long playlist in iTunes. When I quit iTunes in the middle of the playlist, I want to return to the same spot in the playlist the next time I start iTunes. Is this possible to do?

Yes, but only if you:

a- Make it a smart playlist with criteria that forces songs to drop out of it once listened, and select the "Live Updating" option in the playlist definition. For example, add the criteria "Last Played is not in the last 7 days", then when you listen to a song it will no longer be eligible for the smart playlist for the next 7 days, but obviously you can tweak that as needed.

b- If you use an iOS device (Touch, iPhone, or iPad) then you have to re-sync the device in order for the playlist to update.

If this is a regular (not-smart) playlist, you can still do this by creating a smart playlist where one of the criteria is "Playlist Is (regular playlist's name)" as well as the "Last Played .." criteria. If you do this, make sure that you select the "Match All" criteria option rather than "Match Any".
