Replacement iPod Touch screen dead?

Hi fellow Apple enthusiast, I replaced the screen on my 4th gen Touch and all works great except one area of the screen. What I cannot do is type in portrait mode from the 3rd row of buttons including the letters Z,X,C,etc and including backspace. However, if I go landscape keyboard all works except the letter O, which happens to be in the same area as the other keys on the 3rd row in portrait. Also, I am unable to close apps in the toggle view as the close button for each app happens to be in this same area. Anyone else experienced this before? Is the screen just bad?

Well, if you replaced the screen, there can be two causes for that type of behavior: the connection between the logic board and the screen (and the touch sensor) are not solid or its a bad replacement display and you need to get a new replacement and install it.

Thanks for the info. As far as the connection, there are two. Are you speaking of the one wrapped in the copper or the last one you connect before you close up the unit?

Both (which is why I added my statement in parenthesis, just like this one ) Both connections need to be solid in order for full screen functionality. If both connections are solid, you will need a new replacement screen as that one doesn't work (which is a highly valid assumption).
