Duplicate Albums..PLEASE HELP !

I have an iPod Touch 32gb 4th Gen,I added an album to my iPod and in the album column of my iPod it showed each song as a separate album instead of just one album.
So I went into iTunes and changed the "Part of a compilation"setting to yes and synced my Ipod, but that didn't work, what it did do was duplicate the whole album 25 times on my iPod .

All the 25 songs have an identical album name and all the contributing artists have different names as it is an album of different singers.
So how can I just have one alum with all the songs in it ?

thanks

Use Media Monkey, select all songs in the album, right-click and select properties, then set 'Album Artist(s)' to "Various".

You don't need Media Monkey just change the Album Artist Field in Get Info for each song to Various Artists.

Yes that's correct, you can use iTunes to add the same Album Artist across all songs of the Compilation, no need for 3rd party software.

The OP may also want to go into their Touch's Settings for Music and select "Group by Album Artist", which has the effect of hiding artist names who only exist on a Compilation album (i.e. the "one-hit wonders"). The downside to this setting is that if you also have a non-Compilation songs by some of these artists, you won't see the songs from the Compilation album under the Artist menu (they're only available from the Compilation or Album menus).
